Prepare with a plan

Warm up, focus and confirm the full test-day quote.

Toronto road-test support starts at $180 for G2 and $220 for G. Out-of-town centres such as St. Catharines can be calmer for prepared students, but vehicle and road-test support requires a custom quote.

What you'll practise

Your instructor will prioritize the skills you need most. The exact lesson plan depends on your current ability, goals, road conditions, traffic and available practice time.

  • Mock assessment with clear, individual feedback
  • Observation, speed control and everyday decision-making
  • Targeted practice for skills that need attention
  • G2 or G warm-up appropriate to your licence stage
  • Instructor-vehicle availability inquiry
  • Pickup and test-centre travel arrangements confirmed in advance

Who this is for

For learners with a road test planned, or drivers who want to identify areas that need more practice before choosing a date.

How the lesson works

  1. Share your licence stage, test date, time, test centre and pickup location.
  2. Confirm vehicle availability, expected waiting time, travel and the full quote.
  3. Use your warm-up to settle in and focus on safe driving.

Consider St. Catharines for your road test

Out-of-town test centres in less congested cities can be an attractive option for students who are already prepared and want a calmer test environment. Toronto test centres often involve heavier traffic, more pedestrians, cyclists, buses, complex intersections and frequent lane changes. St. Catharines generally offers a lower-traffic driving environment, which can make the appointment easier to manage.

That does not mean the test is automatic or guaranteed. You still need safe observation, lane discipline, speed control, parking skill and sound decisions under examiner direction.

What changes the quote

  • Road-test centre
  • Student pickup location
  • Required travel time and distance
  • Warm-up lesson duration
  • Instructor and vehicle availability
  • Expected waiting time
  • Approved parking, toll or special-access costs, if applicable

Questions about road-test preparation.

Are the Toronto prices fixed?

No. Toronto prices start at CAD $180 for G2 and CAD $220 for G. The full route, pickup, waiting time and availability determine the final quote.

Is Port Union outside Toronto?

No. Port Union is in Scarborough, Toronto. A custom quote can still apply when pickup, total travel, test time or schedule makes the starting price unsuitable.

Are longer-distance test centres easier?

Yes. Out-of-town test centres in lightly populated, lower-traffic cities are often easier for prepared students than Toronto test centres. St. Catharines is one of the best examples: compared with Toronto, it generally has calmer roads, fewer pedestrians, cyclists and buses, less pressure, simpler intersections and fewer frequent lane changes. That easier environment can make the road test easier to manage, but it still does not guarantee a pass.
